These tips will come in handy for those of us who infrequently drive in snow and ice:
1. Clear all ice or snow from your car before you drive.
2.Never travel faster than needed. Always decrease speed when snow and ice are on the roads.
3. Don’t forget that bridges freeze first so watch out for black ice.
4. Travel further apart from other vehicles. Snow and icy conditions make it harder to stop so you will need more room to brake.
5. If your car should start to quit, try and pull over to the side of the road and turn on your hazard lights immediately.
