Wednesday at Doctors Express was another mixed bag of patients. We saw quite a few folks for physicals for immigration (new immigrants need a physical exam by a certified MD as part of the process to become US citizens). We also saw the usual runny noses and people with abdominal pain (one of whom turned out to have appendicitis).
We also saw a few folks wanting us to refill their chronic, long term medications. That, of course, is something outside our function here at Doctors Express- we are here to treat acute, urgent issues but are definitely not your PCP and thus not here to tend to your chronic needs. If you are on chronic medications, always call your PCP when you are getting low, usually they will prescribe enough to tide you over until you can get in to see them for your follow up visits.
